August 6, 2020 UPDATE: Just in. Tyler Harp from Harp Barbecue in Kansas City will be joining Danny cook for the opening weekend(August 8th and 9th). Not only is he putting out some of the best barbecue in Kansas City, he's a great guy. Make sure to say hi when you see him and visit him in the next time you're near Raytown, MO.

July 30, 2020: The wait is over! I just got word from owners Daniel and Brenda Castillo, that Heritage Barbecue will officially open the doors of their brick and mortar in San Juan Capistrano on Saturday August 8th.

"It's not the best time to open a restaurant, but Brenda and I cannot wait to see, and feed, our friends that made our dream become a reality and we are looking forward to making new ones daily. Thank you for your patience," said Daniel Castillo.

There were some slight delays due to getting their their fire suppression system for the hood(which was grandfathered in to the location), but a firm Grand Opening date is now set.

Heritage Barbecue will be serving classic central Texas meat market style, which means you will line up and order your meats to be sliced in front of you. This gives you a lot of options and allows you to choose what cuts you'd like. As it has always been with Heritage, they are putting their spin on it. If you have ANY questions you can follow this link.

The initial hours will be Wednesday through Friday 3PM - Sold Out; Saturday & Sunday Noon - Sold Out. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Since they will undoubtably sell out daily, I'd recommend getting there early.

Their address is 31727 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675.
